Injecta Fire Barrier are a trading subsidiary of Aim listed Light Science Technologies PLC, specialising in the installation of the world’s first patented remediation system for missing or defective cavity fire barriers, Injectaclad, alleviating the need for full-scale façade removal. The company are members of ASFP (Association of Specialist Fire Protection) and are accredited as a gold member with Constructionline, CHAS and IFC. The company has also achieved alignment with the Building Safety Act for both Higher Risk Buildings and Standard Construction.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Director / Fire Engineer.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with customers, Fire Engineers and Architects to support BSR applications by providing technical advice.
- Produce Bluebeam mark‑ups and simple CAD section drawings where required.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date knowledge of the Legislative landscape.
- Build awareness of the product solution via CPD events with regulators, building owners, specifiers, and contractors.
- Oversee our accreditations in terms of competencies, standards, processes and audits.
- Oversee 3rd party product fire testing and certification.
- Carry out installer training and on‑site audits.
- Form part of the company’s senior management team, including attending and reporting at board meetings and inputting in strategy formulation.
What we’re looking for:
- Degree in Fire Engineering.
- Relevant experience in fire strategy on tall buildings.
- Strong understanding of UK fire safety legislation and design guidance.
- Experience with Gateway 2 BSR applications.
- Excellent communication, writing and IT literacy skills.
- Full UK Driving licence.
- Experience with 2D AutoCAD or 3D Solid Works is an advantage, but training can be provided.
