Role Overview

Reporting to the Revenue Performance Lead, we are seeking a Revenue Performance Accountant to support revenue performance activities within our Global Finance Services (GFS) shared services organisation.

You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely revenue performance reporting and analysis, ensuring the integrity of revenue data, supporting revenue recognition standards, maintaining revenue-related balance sheet accounts and contributing to high-quality OTC reporting.

Working closely with the Billing & Revenue teams, you will perform core revenue performance activities, support period-end close, investigate accounting issues and contribute to the effective delivery of end-to-end Order-to-Cash reporting.

  • Revenue Performance, Accounting & Financial Close
  • Prepare and process revenue accounting journals and financial transactions in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Perform reconciliations for accrued revenue, deferred revenue, contract liability and related balance sheet accounts, driving timely clearance of aged or complex reconciling items.
  • Apply revenue recognition policies to assigned contracts in accordance with IFRS 15 or applicable standards.
  • Reconcile revenue ledger postings to billing system data and investigate variances.
  • Perform reconciliations for accrued revenue, deferred revenue, contract liability and related balance sheet accounts.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities, including cut-off reviews and period-end adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate revenue accounting records, contract schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with preparation of revenue performance reporting schedules and supporting information.
  • Investigate routine revenue accounting and reporting issues and escalate complex matters where appropriate.
  • Prepare revenue variance analysis across assigned entities, investigating and documenting movements in recognised, accrued and deferred revenue positions and escalating material variances to the Revenue Performance Lead.
  • Support the Revenue Performance Lead in the delivery of revenue performance reporting, analysis and OTC reporting activities, including ad hoc requests and period-end priorities.
  • Stakeholder Management & Governance
  • Partner with GFS teams, Tax and Treasury, Internal Audit and Divisional Finance teams to resolve revenue performance issues.
  • Support audit activities by providing documentation and responding to information requests.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls and governance requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and operational excellence activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality and revenue performance reporting processes.
  • What you'll bring

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent professional qualification) in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent preferred.
  • 3–5 years' experience in revenue accounting or financial accounting within a global Shared Services Centre (SSC) or Global Business Services (GBS) environment is essential.
  • Experience supporting revenue recognition, reconciliations, journal processing, revenue reporting support and month-end close.
  • Technical & Operational Expertise
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition standards (IFRS 15 or equivalent).
  • Experience using ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion or similar accounting platforms.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills including lookups, pivot tables and reconciliations.
  • Understanding of financial controls, compliance and reporting requirements.

  • Investigate reconciliation differences, revenue recognition issues and data quality exceptions.
  • Resolve routine accounting issues independently while escalating complex matters appropriately.
  • Support improvements to accounting processes and reporting controls.

  • Communicate clearly regarding revenue performance queries and reporting requirements.
