We have an exciting opportunity to join our world‑class live event production team within Emota, a leading brand of over 500 thinkers, creators and makers. As a Production Manager, you'll lead the technical delivery of high‑impact live, virtual and hybrid events, owning production from concept to execution. You'll shape technical solutions, partner with clients and suppliers, and ensure every experience is delivered seamlessly, safely and to the highest creative and technical standards. Reporting to one of our Technical Directors, this is a hybrid working position where you will work from a home office, onsite delivery and have access to one of our collaborative, creative offices in either London or Manchester.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead onsite and virtual production delivery, ensuring any client and supplier dealings are exercised with the utmost diligence and always with the business and client in mind.
  • Support with the creation of production budgets.
  • Consider, research and develop the event specification from a technical perspective, including lighting, sound, AV, IT and construction.
  • Work with technical suppliers to ensure quality products/services are delivered and all events are specified correctly, to a high standard whilst also being delivered on time and within budget.
  • Brief crew, suppliers and update requirements throughout the delivery process, creating necessary crew documents.
  • Manage the creation and distribution of action plans to aid project management, including but not limited to timelines, build schedules, show running orders, contact sheets, and crew packs.
  • Provide accurate responses to client requests, being aware of any changes in requirements and making updates accordingly.
  • Creation of the production execution plan, including all administration necessities and delivering projects in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Actively follow all approval procedures.
  • Ensure Live Events quality and sustainability procedures are followed on each project and appropriate records are maintained.
  • Manage all equipment and event accessories.
  • Provide hands‑on production management support to virtual/live projects and pitches.
  • Manage technical budgets and flag any anomalies.
  • Maintain up to date technical knowledge and expertise around delivery techniques and equipment.

What you need to have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience gained within a Technical or Production Management position.
  • A keen understanding of the Events industry and the media/facilities/technology available.
  • Proven experience managing complex productions with multiple vendors and large crews.
  • Deep knowledge of event production workflows, tech specs, and health & safety regulations.
  • A good working knowledge of Virtual meeting platforms/technologies.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to own applicable elements of production budgets.
  • Experience of working with suppliers and managing vendor relationships.
  • Good customer service ethic and high expectations of quality.
