Gain a front‑row seat to how finance operates at scale. As a Finance Intern in our Manchester Global Finance Services shared‑services centre, you’ll rotate across Order to Cash (OTC), Procure to Pay (PTP), and Record to Report (RTR), building a complete picture of how finance teams operate within a global organisation. This isn’t a single‑team internship – you’ll work across multiple functions, contribute to real financial processes, and develop both technical and analytical skills that form the foundation of a finance career.
What you’ll be doing
- Order to Cash (OTC) – Revenue, Billing, and Collections
- Support billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition processes
- Assist with aged debtors and cash collection tracking
- Maintain client purchase orders and approvals in Oracle
- Procure to Pay (PTP) – Supplier and Spend Management
- Support supplier invoice processing and query resolution
- Assist with purchase order management and controls
- Help ensure accurate and timely payment cycles
- Record to Report (RTR) – Financial Control & Reporting
- Contribute to month‑end close activities, including reconciliations
- Assist in maintaining financial records and journal postings
- Contribute to reporting and audit preparation
- Across all rotations
- Produce weekly and monthly reports (e.g. reconciliations, contract lists, missing data checks)
- Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and improvement opportunities
- Support process improvements and data quality initiatives
- Work with Oracle and other finance systems to maintain accurate records

What we’re looking for
- 2nd‑year student, currently studying Finance, Accountancy, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Strong Excel and data handling skills (e.g. formulas, data analysis, reporting)
- Comfortable working with large datasets and identifying trends or issues
- High attention to detail and a focus on accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Proactive, curious, and willing to take ownership of tasks
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with different teams
Previous finance or accounting experience is beneficial but not essential.
