An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Area Sales Manager to take ownership of a high-potential Northern Ireland territory within a well-established and growing ophthalmology portfolio. This role offers the chance to work with market leading products across Dry Eye, Glaucoma and Eye Health, within a supportive, high-performing sales environment that genuinely values its people.

About the Role

You will be responsible for driving growth across the territory by developing strong, long-term relationships with key customers across secondary care, pharmacy and key accounts. This is a true account management role, requiring strong planning, commercial focus and customer insight.

Responsibilities

  • Achieving and exceeding sales targets across the territory
  • Managing and developing key accounts, including stakeholder mapping and account planning
  • Gaining and maintaining formulary and protocol inclusion
  • Promoting a portfolio of ophthalmology products to medical, surgical and pharmacy customers
  • Identifying new business opportunities and driving sustainable growth
  • Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Proven pharmaceutical sales experience (ideally 5+ years)
  • Strong account management and relationship-building skills
  • Experience influencing NHS and private sector stakeholders
  • Track record of achieving sales targets
  • Strong planning, analytical and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Desirable: Experience in ophthalmology or a related therapy area
  • Understanding of hospital procurement and reimbursement processes
  • Degree educated or equivalent

Pay range and compensation package

  • 25 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays
