Our client has an excellent opportunity for an individual with an engineering background, ideally electrical, to join their commercial team to support pre-sales, proposals, quotations, technical sales and account development. In this role you will liaise with customers to understand their requirements and provide co-ordinated quotations, literature and technical responses. To strive for 100% customer “on time, in full, and to specification” responses and provide high levels of client service and customer satisfaction. Electrical and/or mechanical engineering graduates who have gained some work experience within the construction industry or similar, with the willingness to learn will be considered and full training will be provided.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide technical information and pricing to customer enquiries, taking primary lead on variations on existing orders, small works quotes and maintenance quotations.
- Answer all customer enquiries promptly and accurately, recording detail as required and updating the CRM.
- Be responsible for assigned sales enquiries and engaging with new and existing clients.
- Follow up enquiries, understand their technical requirements and work with the team to generate sales proposals and tender returns.
- Liaise with customers to understand the customer's requirements and any issues, providing appropriate solutions where necessary.
- Attend update meetings of the CRM system sales channel.
- Collaborate effectively with the Commercial Sales Team by creating and issuing sales tracking documentation upon request and information on current state of an enquiry.
- Work with the operations team to ensure that the proposal is profitable and executable.
- Provide accurate communication and handovers with the design, project, manufacturing, and technical teams, for each project, ensuring all parties understand and agree with the project requirements and amendments.
- Pro-active enquiry generation through periodic visits to tender websites.
- Be engaged with market intelligence on new products and services.
- Assist in forming and creating partnerships with other businesses, agent networks and supply chain.
- Be responsible for and always comply with the ISO 9001 standards set by the company.
- Be willing to undertake National Security vetting Clearance as required.
