Location: Remote with regular visits to Birmingham (circa every six weeks)

Our client is a UK EdTech, developing innovative technology that accelerates English acquisition for learners at school, college or in the workplace. They have an excellent opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to join their team to lead the planning and delivery of strategic, multi-channel campaigns that position their company as the leading EAL and ESOL platform in the UK and internationally.

With a focus on trust-level and international education partnerships, the Marketing Manager will drive account-based marketing, strategic lead generation and develop clear, compelling messaging to support new products and market growth. The marketing team's goal is to generate qualified leads across three core markets: UK EAL, International EAL, and UK ESOL. Together, they are building their reputation as a trusted voice in EAL and ESOL - supporting sustained growth and ensuring more learners receive the language support they need.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement integrated, omnichannel marketing campaigns from strategy to execution, ensuring alignment with core growth targets and company mission.
  • Own our account-based marketing (ABM) strategy to drive engagement with Multi-Academy Trusts and international school groups, working in partnership with the Sales team.
  • Develop and manage high-impact campaigns on themes such as raising EAL standards, policy influence and thought leadership, incorporating but not limited to lobbying, PR and teacher-focused resource creation.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Success, Design and external stakeholders to co-develop and deliver campaign assets.
  • Plan and manage advertising budgets, while ensuring effective budget optimisation and a shift towards organic and earned marketing where appropriate.
  • Oversee campaign reporting and ensure accurate ROI tracking using Salesforce and Pardot; work with the Performance Marketing Manager to align on attribution and insights.
  • Collaborate with the Events and Marketing Executive on campaign-aligned event strategy, ensuring campaigns are supported through webinars, in-person events and conferences.
  • Shape messaging and positioning for new and evolving products, working closely with the Product, Sales and Success teams to ensure clarity, consistency and impact across all touchpoints.
  • Create persuasive multi-media content, including but not limited to campaign landing pages, case studies, policy briefings, video briefs and email journeys.
  • Support brand awareness in priority sectors through a mix of earned, owned and paid activity.
  • Contribute to customer retention through advocacy and nurture campaigns, aligned with campaign themes.

Essential skills and experience required

  • All round marketing experience with a digital-first approach but that understands how to weave in traditional tactics appropriately to achieve outstanding results.
  • Proven experience developing and managing end-to-end integrated marketing campaigns with measurable impact.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience in account-based marketing strategies and B2B lead generation.
  • Ability to turn big-picture goals (e.g. lobbying, policy influence) into practical, campaign-driven marketing activity.
  • A data-driven mindset - comfortable using insights to shape strategy and refine approaches.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work at pace across multiple projects.
  • Clear communicator with strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence both internally and externally.
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers or agencies.
  • Collaborative, adaptable and committed to our mission and values.
  • Adept at creating, implementing and reporting against strategy and objectives as part of a team.
  • Able to create brand and campaign stories using multi-media content for a range of channels - case studies, blogs, thought leadership, press and PR through written, video, audio and visual tools.
  • An interest in the education or tech space.

Desirable skills and experience

  • Understanding of the EAL, ESOL and / or EdTech space.
  • Experience working with UK school trusts and / or international education groups.
  • Knowledge of the UK education landscape, especially trust-level decision-making.
  • Experience in lobbying or advocacy marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with PPC, paid social media, SEO and attribution modelling (in partnership with our Performance Marketing Manager).
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Pardot for campaign building and performance tracking.
  • Experience managing webinars and in-person speaking slots - from creating content to sourcing and managing speakers.
