An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Area Sales Manager to take ownership of a high-potential Northern Ireland territory within a well-established and growing ophthalmology portfolio. This role offers the chance to work with market leading products across Dry Eye, Glaucoma and Eye Health, within a supportive, high-performing sales environment that genuinely values its people.
You will be responsible for driving growth across the territory by developing strong, long-term relationships with key customers across secondary care, pharmacy and key accounts. This is a true account management role, requiring strong planning, commercial focus and customer insight.
Responsibilities- Achieving and exceeding sales targets across the territory
- Managing and developing key accounts, including stakeholder mapping and account planning
- Gaining and maintaining formulary and protocol inclusion
- Promoting a portfolio of ophthalmology products to medical, surgical and pharmacy customers
- Identifying new business opportunities and driving sustainable growth
- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders
- Essential: ABPI qualified
- Proven pharmaceutical sales experience (ideally 5+ years)
- Strong account management and relationship-building skills
- Experience influencing NHS and private sector stakeholders
- Track record of achieving sales targets
- Strong planning, analytical and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Desirable: Experience in ophthalmology or a related therapy area
- Understanding of hospital procurement and reimbursement processes
- Degree educated or equivalent
- 25 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays
