What are we looking for in this position?
- Own the product vision.
- Demonstrate the product benefits as early as possible.
- Relentlessly challenge the product development direction to ensure best user value, market fit and company return on investment.
- Pull the project through several defined product development milestones, leading a small team of Hardware, Software, Design and Verification engineers.
- Identify and lift roadblocks to ensure that milestone deliverables are being met at pace.
- Drive the development of technology projects and scientific fundamental studies in order to ensure a solid foundation for the development of the product (in partnership with external SMEs and research partners).
- With inputs from the team, establish the product’s system architecture, and interpret the Product Requirements Document (PRD) into sub-system functional and performance requirements.
- Drive risk, safety and quality management for the project, via an FMEA process.
- Understand regulatory compliance requirements and ensure they are accounted for in the product requirements and development processes.
- Drawing from existing range platforms, create a UI/UX definition document that will serve as a communication interface between project stakeholders and Software Engineers.
- Establish product validation channels in order to ensure that the project’s development direction is constantly kept in line with the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
- Leverage a network of SMEs, our Sales team and our Field Engineers.
- Create and maintain the product BOM.
- Drive the manufacturing and procurement strategy, engage with manufacturing and supply partners, establish and drive down cost while ensuring supply chain robustness.
- Ensure a smooth transfer of the project to Operations.
