Initivo offers a rare opportunity for a Construction Project Engineer to join its specialist testing facility in Leighton Buzzard. Working from a permanent 15-acre site, You'll play a key role in delivering construction and façade testing projects that support some of the UK's most prestigious infrastructure developments and blue-chip clients.

This is not a typical construction role. You'll gain exposure to engineering, project management, commercial activities, planning, technical reporting and site operations, making it an excellent opportunity for ambitious construction professionals looking to broaden their experience and accelerate their career.

No two days are the same. You'll contribute to engineering design, project delivery, and commercial support. You will also liaise with clients, produce technical reports, and support construction testing activities.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting specialist construction and façade testing projects from enquiry through to completion
  • Producing quotations and tender submissions
  • Coordinating programmes and project activities
  • Preparing AutoCAD and structural steelwork drawings
  • Managing Health & Safety requirements
  • Writing technical reports and project documentation
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders
  • Coordinating construction mock-ups and testing programmes
  • Overseeing contractors and site activities
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience within the construction industry
  • Broad knowledge of construction methods and site operations
  • Understanding of steelwork, brickwork, timber and scaffolding
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills
  • Good Health & Safety awareness
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities
  • A proactive, inquisitive approach with a desire to learn and develop

Qualifications

  • CSCS Card
  • Construction-related qualification or equivalent industry experience
