INITION is on a mission to revolutionize battery production beyond the Dry Process, and we're looking for a passionate Battery Lab Technician to join our innovative R&D team in Oxford. You'll be a vital link between our electrochemistry and mechanical engineering teams, turning brilliant ideas into tangible prototypes.
What you'll do:
- Fabricate, assemble, and test battery electrodes, from coin cells to full-scale prototypes.
- Operate and maintain state-of-the-art lab equipment, including battery cyclers, EIS, and mechanical testers.
- Collaborate directly with our engineers to design experiments, gather critical data, and solve complex challenges.
- Take ownership of the lab environment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and organization are always top-priority.
- Analyse results and contribute your insights to accelerate our R&D cycles.
- Manage the research lab and data system.
What we're looking for:
- Degree in chemistry, physics, materials science, or related.
- Hands-on experience in a laboratory or technical R&D environment.
- A meticulous and detail-oriented approach to your work.
- A passion for technology and a strong desire to learn.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Bonus points for experience with battery cell assembly, electrochemical testing, or materials characterization.
