We are seeking a Music Lead to join our teaching team from September 2025. This role offers a full‑time position with the option of a part‑time (0.8) basis for a suitable candidate. The successful candidate will work alongside our Senior Leadership team to ensure our students receive high quality music lessons and outstanding extra‑curricular opportunities.

Salary: £31,650 – £49,084 per annum (M1 to M6 / UP1 to UP3). In addition, a TLR 2.1 is offered for music (pro‑rata for part‑time roles). The position is permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead in the music department and develop curriculum delivery.
  • Lead and support teachers, setting high standards for pupils.
  • Implement whole‑school strategies within the music subject area.
  • Extend teaching to additional curriculum areas where possible.
  • Support the school ethos, ensuring pupils feel safe, grow, and enjoy learning.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experienced subject lead or self‑motivated professional with outstanding music practice.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Music curriculum.
  • Ability to teach additional subjects is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a commitment to personal and professional development.
