We are a young and dynamic hospitality group run by a passionate and creative team of professionals. Our bars and restaurants are relaxed but full of character. We are currently looking for staff for the opening of our newest restaurant and bar, Deli Cat & Sons, located in Locke Aparthotel at Broken Wharf, planned to open early March 2020. Deli Cat & Sons is a modern British take on the traditional 19th Century New York deli, offering a huge medley of tantalising culinary delights from fresh breakfast to beautiful salads, sandwiches, and healthy bites. In the evenings, we will offer Tapas made with locally sourced products and the best quality seafood.
Position Overview
Our Chefs de Partie are the core of our operations. Passionate and driven, they are skilfully trained to pass on their knowledge and bring the most amazing experience to all of our guests by providing the best quality food.
Responsibilities:
- Leading a section of the kitchen and exceeding guest satisfaction during their shift.
- Supervising and leading a team of Commis Chefs.
- Sampling, smelling, and observing food to ensure top quality and conformance to recipes and standards.
- Taking orders from the Sous Chef and assigning tasks to Commis Chefs, ensuring they are carried out correctly.
- Dealing with special requests and guests who expect service beyond the usual offer.
- Resolving any issues that arise during the shift and escalating them to management.
- Mastering effective communication to keep departments operating smoothly.
- Acting as an ambassador of our brand.
Qualifications and Personal Qualities:
- At least 2 years of experience working in service.
- Fluency in English.
- Passionate about food and beverage and aware of current trends.
- Flexible, eager to learn, and driven to provide the best service.
- Ability to inject passion into all employees and create real team spirit.
- Ownership and belief in their work.
Date of the Interview: All final interviews will take place on 7th and 8th February 2020.
Hiring Date: The hotel is due to open in the first weeks of March, with the first working day aimed for 17th February 2020.
