About Shaman

Shaman was born in 2018 as a coffee shop in Aldgate East. Since then, we have opened 4 new ventures in London (all based in Locke Hotels) and the expansion plans are not going to stop here. Shaman is currently going through a re-brand, to assert our place more thoroughly in the wellness space and to broaden our offering to not only food & beverage. This role will very much be about translating our new vision, mission, ethos to our growing community, both visually and through all other types of content. This role will include managing channels of all brands within The Initiative’s portfolio, with a particular focus given to Shaman, our fastest growing venture.

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Division: Food and Beverage Operations
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Status: Full Time/Part time

We need you:

  • To provide a professional service & memorable experience to all guests of the Café
  • To be responsible for serving highest quality coffee
  • To ensure consistently outstanding service to Guests and maximise business potential.
  • To act as an ambassador of the Initiative Group with guests & colleagues

Essential Functions & Physical Requirements

  • Accountability for day-to-day communication
  • Flexibility is required in working to the needs of the business and departments
  • Dynamism, integrity, consciousness, initiative, dedication

Qualifications and Desirables

  • No formal qualification is required for this role
  • Fluent verbal English is essential
  • Second language preferred
  • Computer skills are essential

Experience

  • Previous experience in similar position is desired

Functional Knowledge

  • Familiar with F&B processes
  • Understanding of Hospitality Industry & legislation e.g. Health & Safety, licensing
  • Knowledge of coffee shop processes, procedures and techniques
