About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Consultant HEOR to lead the development of cost-effectiveness and budget impact models that shape healthcare policy and reimbursement decisions. This role combines advanced health economic expertise with strategic consulting, project leadership, and direct client engagement, supporting pharmaceutical companies and healthcare organisations in demonstrating the value of health technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Delivery & Modelling
- Lead the end-to-end development and quality assurance of cost-effectiveness and budget impact models for health technologies
- Conduct sophisticated analysis of healthcare and clinical trial data
- Interpret clinical study results and support planning of statistical analyses
- Lead model conceptualisation, development, validation, and troubleshooting
- Support adaptations of economic models to address local market requirements
- Critically review and select relevant model inputs and assumptions
- Perform additional statistical analyses for local market adaptations
Strategic Support & Communication
- Contribute to clinical summaries, dossiers, and value messages for reimbursement submissions
- Support HTA pricing and reimbursement submissions with economic modelling expertise
- Assess epidemiology, disease management, unmet medical needs, and burden of disease
- Evaluate relative efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness of health technologies
- Apply corporate styling, referencing, and brand standards to all deliverables
- Prepare and present compelling materials to clients and stakeholders
Business Development & Client Management
- Develop proposals and marketing materials to support new business opportunities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients
- Make strategic approaches to potential clients
- Liaise directly with clients, lead on routine client communications and technical discussions, and provide regular updates ensuring project alignment
- Lead multiple client engagements or substantial project workstreams, managing scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and quality
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, supervise, and mentor analysts and associate consultants
- Support professional development of team members
- Coordinate cross-functional teamwork across projects
- Manage own wellbeing and that of team members
- Proactively develop technical and commercial skills
Essential Requirements
- Advanced degree in Health Economics, Economics, Statistics, or related field
- Proven experience in health economic modelling and outcomes research
- Strong understanding of international health systems and HTA processes
- Expertise in cost-effectiveness and budget impact modelling methodologies
- Experience with healthcare data analysis and clinical trial interpretation
- Proficiency in statistical software and modelling platforms
- Excellent project management and client communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with reimbursement submissions and HTA processes
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical pricing and market access strategies
- Experience in primary and secondary research methodologies
- Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Previous consulting or client-facing experience
- Understanding of compliance requirements in healthcare research
