We're looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join a very ambitious growth start-up who are building an AI-first platform. They are well funded, packed with talent and have a clear path to becoming an international product scaling across multiple markets. You'll play a key role in designing, building, and scaling the Android platform, helping to develop mobile products from the ground up. This is a hands-on role where you'll contribute to architecture, feature development, and platform improvements while working closely with the Senior Leadership team. You'll have the opportunity to influence engineering standards, mobile development practices, and user experience while building scalable, high-quality applications for a growing business.
About You
- You'll be an experienced Android Engineer with strong hands-on experience of:
- Kotlin & Jetpack Compose
- REST APIs and Real-Time Data Integration
- Play Store Releases and Mobile CI/CD
- Performance Optimisation and Application Scalability
- You'll also have:
- A proven track record of taking products from concept through to Play Store launch
- Strong software engineering and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience building consumer-facing products
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider engineering team
- You will stand out if you have experience within:

The company is still intentionally small and highly collaborative, with around 10–11 employees in the UK and a further team in Malta.
