Lead QA Engineer – Hyrbid – London
The Job
As a lead QA engineer you will be a core part of the engineering function for a scaling business, delivering both manual and automated testing across several projects and products.
The Lead QA engineer is responsible for hands on testing, driving a quality assurance mindset through out the engineering teams and managing a small team of 4 QA engineers.
As the Lead QA engineer you will work extensively with AWS conducting API tests and using Playwright for end-to-end testing. You will interact heavily with SQL and NoSQL databases and helping this fast-moving business move from (mainly) manual testing to an automated environment.
You will work closely with development teams ensuring that QA is not an afterthought and help the business bake in processes and ways of working to ensure clean, high-quality code across all of their platforms.
You will manage a team of 4 QA engineers, you play a huge part in their development and making sure they are growing with you and the wider business.
About you
You will be a seasoned lead QA, who has managed some people successfully in the past. You will be technically strong as an automated & manual tester working with AWS , Typescript, Playwright, Cucumber, GIT (or similar). You must be a great communicator and happy to work in a business that is growing /is transitioning out of start up phase (read must be able to deal with ambiguity).
You must be technically curious and enjoy working with other people.

This is a scale up business with offices across UK, EU, US, middle east, China and India. They employ 1000 people and are looking to grow their technical teams significantly during 2024.They work in the multi-billion- dollar data and insight industry, supplying the financial services industry.
The money
£90,000 plus 10% bonus + 30 days + great benefits
The location
Hybrid 1 days a week in London or remote considered you have to live in the UK.
