Head of Engineering
The Job
As the Head of engineering your job will be to deliver against the technical strategy by leading the technical teams and the technical product teams for this global organisation.
You will directly line manage a head of product, head of UX, head of product engineering and Senior Engineering manager. The group you will head up is over 120 people based in the UK and across Europe.
Your job will be to drive the evolution of various customer facing platforms, you will be heavily involved with technical architecture (not doing it, but being involved).
Your stakeholders will both the non-technical C-Suite (CEO, CFO, COO) and on the technical side the CTO and Director of Technology.
This is a SAFe Agile environment, the teams are organised in product teams.
It is a vital position as a technical figure head, leader of people and the glue between the C-suite and large technical and product team.
About you
You will be an accomplished leader of a team of over 40 people, with a thorough understanding of SAFe agile delivery n a product led organisation.
You will be from a hands on technical background with experience with software architecture.
Ideally you will have worked for a B2C business and be used to coping with the demands on millions of users.
You will be a great line manager and be blessed with the ability to mange multiple board level stakeholders.
This role requires you to be a leading technologist, and also someone with incredible business skills.
