Delivery Manager

The Job

As the Senior Delivery Manager you will deliver products and projects across 2 domains in the FinTech SaaS business. Reporting to the Lead Delivery manager you will manage 2 less senior delivery managers.

The domains in the business relate to different Products and each domain team is an agile squad containing 8 -10 people (developers, QA's BA's, and PO's who act as the domain SME's.)

In this job you will be hands on delivering products, and projects using Agile, Kamban, Lean and on occasion waterfall techniques.

The teams you will lead are matrix managed teams, meaning that the successful Deliver manager must be able to lead people without having managerial responsibility for them.

You will work with a wider delivery management team that is based in the EU, India and China so experience of not being the only delivery manager in a business is important.

As a delivery manager we are interested in you using the right amount of process to get things delivered. Meaning they will not run a process for the sake of running a process, its important that you subscribe to working in this way.

About You

You must be a senior delivery manager who is a hands on leader, you will be an expert with agile techniques, lean and kamban, and whilst they are not using scaled agile, experience in that environment would be great. You will be skilled at matrix management and will be able to demonstrate the ability to blend methodologies to your will. You will have worked though the SDLC and innately understand when to push your team and when to leave well alone.

We want to see that you have successfully delivered products and projects in one company for more than 3 years.

Any experience working in SaaS, Fintech or FS would be fantastic.

This business works in the information space and have grown quickly in the 15 years they have been running. They are 1500 people and have a culture where people are listened too and if you come with great ideas the business is not afraid to act on them. They have recently changed the way that projects are delivered, which means they are scaling their technical teams and is the reason they are hiring you.

The business is valued at $1B and the aim to be valued at $2B within 5 years.

Salary + package

£85,000 + 10% bonus + pension + 26 days holiday + 2 days for like admin + 2 days to do some good, this increases with time.

Location

Remote from in UK, with frequent trips to London (meet the team etc). If you are in London there is a busy office you can work from (optional)
