Data / MI Business Analyst
The Job
Business analyst with strong knowledge of MI / BI projects is needed to join a business analysis practice for a General insurance business.
Your role will be work with the wider business to understand BI and MI requirements in an agile environment to and waterfall to deliver changes to the data platforms.
Working with the various project managers and stakeholders you will scope out what is required and create the to be, you will then work on these projects until they are successfully delivered.
This is a data business analyst job (not a data analyst job), it is important that you are specialist working as a Data Business Analyst and ideally you have some insurance knowledge. You do not need to be technical though you must have a good grasp of data MI and have done some data mapping.
Any experience of MS Azure or migrating MI platforms to the cloud will help you to be successful from day one.

This is a large insurance company who are administering 9 million policies in the UK.

supportive and very friendly, this seems to be a trait of most of the businesses units 5000 employees. The wider business is much larger and global.

The specific team you are working for is small, but super effective, they are all great communicators and fun to work with, whilst you are part of a larger business, they don’t seem to that the politics of similar sized businesses, preferring to get on with their work.
They are also (officially) one of the best businesses that you can work for in terms of work life balance, working a 35 hour week and flexible working patterns are catered for.
The process
We will ask you to do a short (live) video interview with me where I will ask you three questions, this will go to the client in place of a first interview, if this goes well they will take you
to a final stage, which will be mix of traditional competence based interview and some role based activities (gather requirements, build a short document etc) we are going to focus on your ability, your inter personal skills and your potential to become a first class business analyst given the right environment and investment.
The Money
I am not allowed to tell you the salary here, due to client restrictions, but it is good for the level, I can tell you that will contribute up to14% to your pension, you will get 30 days holiday, a
bonus of up to 30%, health care, 50% off your car insurance and 50% off your home insurance. Plus loads of other benefits.
Location
You will need to get to the office in Bournemouth, occasionally (2 x per month (ish))
