Interim Transformation Director – Operations & Automation 12–18 month contract | PE-backed | Midlands / North West
We’re supporting a mega fund backed UK business in a case-led, regulated environment (lending / finance adjacent). This is a hands-on interim role in a small, agile organisation. There is no large transformation office, the expectation is to personally drive change, not oversee a programme team.
Role:- Redesign case-management-led operations from first principles
- Reduce manual handling and exception load
- Introduce pragmatic workflow automation and clearer decisioning
- Improve speed, cost-to-serve and operational control
- Work closely with senior leadership, on-site initially
- Delivered transformation in a £50–150m business (not large enterprise)
- Operated without a big PMO or transformation team
- Led hands-on change across operations / case management / underwriting / servicing
- Experience in lending, finance, insurance, B2B travel or similar
- PE experience is imperative with hands-on delivery in smaller organisations.
