We’ve been engaged exclusively with an exciting private equity-backed financial services business, who have recently agreed a new round of funding, to help hire a Senior AI Engineer as they continue investing heavily into AI capability and innovation.
This is not a role for someone who wants to sit in isolation building models nobody uses.
We’re looking for something that solves real problems, building practical AI systems, and working closely with people across the business to create meaningful impact.
The focus is on building and deploying AI tools that improve decision‑making, workflow automation, knowledge discovery, and productivity at scale. Think LLMs, agentic workflows, copilots, orchestration, and AI systems embedded directly into day‑to‑day operations.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership and have real ownership, visibility, and influence over how AI capability evolves.
What you’ll be doing
- Building production‑ready AI solutions using LLMs and modern AI frameworks
- Designing agentic workflows, orchestration patterns, and AI‑powered tools
- Working directly with stakeholders to identify opportunities where AI can create genuine value
- Developing practical, scalable systems rather than experimental prototypes
- Improving how teams access knowledge, automate workflows, and make decisions
- Contributing to AI architecture, evaluation, observability, and continuous improvement
- Helping shape engineering standards and ways of working across the team
What we’re looking for
- Experience building and deploying AI / LLM‑based systems into production
- Exposure to areas such as RAG, agentic workflows, orchestration, evaluation pipelines, tool‐calling, or semantic search
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Someone pragmatic, curious, and commercially minded
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and solving messy real‑world problems
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
