Role: Security Operations Manager

Reporting To: Managing Director

Working Hours: 40hrs per week Thursday - Monday

Days off: Tuesday & Wednesday

Remuneration: £32.5k - £37.5k (Dependant on experience & current qualifications)

Bonus based on company performance

Job Specification:

  • Oversee operations within the company’s Security department, focusing primarily on our week-week clients such as live music venues and private event spaces.
  • Set an example in the delivery of high-quality Security Operations in frontline delivery.
  • Act as the "On-Call Contact" for out of office hours staff issues two days per week.
  • Liaise on a weekly basis with clients, building rapport and trust through proactive service delivery.
  • Identify learning needs for frontline staff, and implement strategies to target gaps in knowledge and experience.
  • Oversee completion of weekly rotas, feedback reports, and meetings with staff and clients.
  • Work with our Business Support team to resolve queries from staff or clients.
  • Approximately 28hrs per week will be spent on frontline service delivery, training staff members and ensuring the company’s values and policies are being adhered to.
  • Approximately 12hrs per week will be spent on Operational Planning, which will include building rotas, attending client visits and staff catch-ups, and providing updates to our weekly Operations Meeting with senior management.

Person Specification:

Education, Qualifications, & Training

Mandatory:

  • SIA Door Supervisor Licence
  • First Aid qualification

Desirable:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Spectator Safety
  • Level 5 Award in Crowd Safety Management
  • Full driving licence & access to personal vehicle.
Skills, Knowledge, & Competencies

Mandatory:

  • Experience in a senior role within the Private Security Industry.
  • Experience of operational planning and delivery within the Private Security Industry.
  • Flexible and adaptable to different working environments.
  • Experience of mentoring staff, providing feedback to assist in their development.
  • Ability to communicate with different stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
  • Ability to write reports at a tactical and operational level.

Desirable:

  • Experience of recruitment within the Private Security Industry.
  • Knowledge of British Standard BS7858.
  • Experience using workforce software.
Other

Mandatory:

  • Passionate about improving standards within the Private Security Industry.
  • Motivation to develop professionally, and willing to invest personal time in gaining industry recognised qualifications.
  • Ability to utilise software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite, etc.
