The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The successful candidate will work within our Precast Concrete Division and their prime role will be to compile and report on the performance of precast concrete contracts against original estimates. They will also be expected to be involved at local level with all aspects of accounting.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Contract performance reporting against estimates.
- Reconciliation of monthly management accounts with contract costs.
- Ensure that all relevant contract costs are captured.
- Provide contract feedback and support to estimating, surveying and commercial colleagues.
- Audit and oversee manufactured product and consumable stores stock takes.
- Monthly Contract Work In Progress calculations.
- Ensuring that key financial and in-house systems are accurate and adequately maintained at depot level including providing cover for accounts colleagues.
- Delivery of continuous improvement initiatives and various ad hoc projects.
- Ensure compliance with the Company's policies including Health & Safety.
- Observe and comply with all good working practices within the office.
Person Specification
- Have suitable experience such as accountancy or quantity surveying qualifications or be experienced part qualified.
- Be keen to learn and understand all aspects of our precast business.
- Be computer literate particularly in Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and be highly motivated to work as part of a team and deliver high quality work to tight deadlines.
- The ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
- Have an independent mind with the willingness to challenge estimates and costs.
- Be analytical and inquisitive.
