InHealth is recognised as the UK’s largest provider of specialist diagnostic and healthcare services. Guided by our purpose to Make Healthcare Better, InHealth works closely with the NHS and other healthcare providers to deliver improved patient outcomes. We have ambitious growth plans, and the London service is entering an exciting new chapter. Our flagship King’s Cross Community Diagnostic Centre opens later this year, followed by a full refurbishment of an existing CDC site in 2027, with further development opportunities across the wider London estate to follow.

The role involves being a key member of the Senior Leadership Team for Diagnostics, with responsibility and accountability for the Community Diagnostic Centre services, including Ultrasound, across London. You will lead, develop, manage and support local operational teams, working closely with shared services to ensure the organisational goals and objectives are met and where possible, exceeded.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Operations & Service Delivery: Providing overall leadership and accountability for the day-to-day operational performance; ensuring operational capacity, workforce and infrastructure are aligned to activity demand and commissioning requirements; using data to deliver contractual performance, productivity and financial targets across all sites; leading the implementation of operational strategies; working closely with Business Development and Strategy colleagues.
  • People Leadership & Culture: Leading, developing and inspiring senior operational and site leadership teams across London CDCs and Ultrasound; ensuring effective workforce planning, recruitment, retention and succession planning; supporting performance management, appraisal, development planning and talent progression.
  • Quality, Governance & Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements; providing senior oversight of clinical governance, risk management, incidents and complaints; working closely with clinical leaders to maintain consistent standards of care and best practice.
  • Financial & Commercial Management: Holding accountability for financial performance across London CDCs and Ultrasound, including budget management and cost control; working with Finance Business Partners to monitor performance, manage risks and deliver sustainable profitability; supporting bid activity, contract mobilisation and commissioner engagement from an operational perspective.
  • Strategic, Stakeholder & System Leadership: Setting the direction and strategy for the division with the Managing Director; evaluating performance and recommending strategies to improve results; understanding market positions and maximising opportunities for business development; developing and maintaining strong relationships with commissioners, ICB leadership, NHS Trusts and partner organisations; contributing operational insight to Group strategy development and innovation initiatives.

You have experience of:

  • Operating at senior leadership level within healthcare (ideally within NHS secondary care).
  • Leading complex, multi-site operations with full accountability for quality, people and financial performance.
  • Working with NHS commissioners, ICBs and system partners.
  • Managing large budgets, delivering KPIs and driving continuous improvement.
  • Leading through change, growth and service transformation.

You will also be degree educated (or equivalent) and willing to travel across the UK as required; a full UK driving licence is desirable.
