Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that patients are made to feel welcome and comfortable throughout the screening process.
- Undertake the screening checklist to ensure the screening environment is safe (for yourself and your patients).
- Perform basic maintenance of the camera and equipment to enable the best possible images to be taken.
- Safely administer eye drops (to enlarge pupils) and take photographs ensuring correct field of view.
- Identify any patients requiring urgent onward referral at the time of their screening appointment.
- Maintain a sufficient stock of consumables to run your clinic.

Candidate Requirements:
- Compassionate individuals who are empathetic towards the requirements of each patient.

- Ability to take detailed/up‑close pictures of the eye and remain composed.
- Adaptable with the ability to think quickly and resolve problems.
- Flexible working week, including occasional evening and weekend work, and a commitment to completing the Health Screener Diploma within the required timescale.
