Location: Wakefield

Salary: £24,523 FTE - the pro rata salary is £9,809.20 for 15 hrs per week.

Please note, this is a part‑time role, working 15hrs per week.

Main duties of the job:
  • Improving the knowledge of the importance of diabetic eye screening within the programme communities.
  • With a specific focus on underserved communities or seldom heard groups, including those with learning disabilities, patients within areas of greater deprivation and non‑responders, work with the Stakeholder and Quality Assurance Manager in the implementation of appropriate consultation activities.
  • Undertake, analyse and report on patient satisfaction feedback and other experience surveys.
  • Obtain patient, user/carer and professional intelligence and insight through effective patient, carer and professional engagement including through the implementation of Patient, Partner, Stakeholder, User forums and patient engagement structures/formative relationships.

Job responsibilities:

The role is for 15 hours per week. The working pattern is negotiable and can include hybrid working; however, flexibility in weekly working pattern is key to this role, and may include occasional evenings and weekends, and location as required. Applicants would be expected to travel across the Wakefield and Leeds area to engage with stakeholders and attend events.

Experience and qualifications:
  • Experience in working in a customer‑focused environment.
  • Social Media creativeness and Engagement with service users.
  • Awareness of general and cultural issues as they relate to underserved communities and seldom heard groups.
  • Experience attending events and conducting presentations.
  • Experience engaging with support groups for patients would be beneficial.
