As a PET-CT Radiographer/Technologist at our XXX site, you will make a meaningful impact in patient care, working in a dedicated environment to deliver high-quality imaging services.
What You’ll Do
- Perform PET-CT imaging procedures efficiently and effectively for both public and private sectors, adhering to best practices and radiographic techniques.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and technical work, ensuring compliance with relevant codes of practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct imaging procedures following clinical guidelines and protocols (IRMER 2000, IRR 99, ARSAC).
- Maintain professional competencies through continuous learning and CPD.
- Perform quality assurance checks on equipment and address any issues as needed.
- Respect patient values and ensure their views are considered throughout treatment.
- Ensure accurate, up-to-date patient information is maintained.
- Report incidents and complaints in line with company policy.
- Adhere to Data Protection Act regulations.
- Contribute to governance activities, such as audits and team meetings.
- Manage clinical and administrative workflows efficiently.
- Monitor and reorder stock as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in line with ISO standards.
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Has knowledge of the radiographer/technologist role in patient care.
- Is safety-conscious and skilled in using imaging equipment.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of patient care and confidentiality.
- Understands the implications of the Data Protection Act, Caldicott Principles, and GDPR.
- Has completed infection control, manual handling, patient transfer, health and safety, and basic life support training.
- Is computer literate, with strong attention to detail in data entry.
- Has good interpersonal skills and can work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Is eager to develop and enhance PET-CT skills and contribute to the development of others.
- Is flexible and able to work shifts, including national travel for training.
You Should Apply If You Have
- A BSc in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in PET-CT or Nuclear Medicine is essential.
