Location: Suffolk (South East) – covering Ipswich, Otley, Felixstowe, Hadleigh, Stowmarket and Aldeburgh.

Salary: £24,852.66 rising upon completion of your diploma – full‑time role, 37.5 hrs per week.

Main duties:

  • Ensure that patients feel welcome and comfortable throughout the screening process.
  • Undertake the screening checklist to ensure safety for yourself and patients.
  • Basic maintenance of the camera and equipment to enable the best possible images.
  • Safely administer eye drops to enlarge pupils and capture photographs with correct field of view.
  • Identify patients requiring urgent onward referral at the time of their appointment.
  • Maintain a sufficient stock of consumables to run the clinic.

They should also be committed to completing the Health Screener Diploma within the required timescale.
