About The Role
Hours: 36hrs per week. Monday- Sunday as per local rota, varying shift pattern, 3x12hr shifts
Location: Torbay

Following the Michael Richards report, which highlighted the need for diagnostic services to be more accessible in the community, InHealth is partnering with the NHS to develop new Community Diagnostic Centres. We recently opened a new Community Diagnostic Centre in Torbay in Autumn 2024, and are recruiting to build a dedicated team to support this initiative and enhance healthcare accessibility.
We are currently hiring a Clinical Assistant on a contract until March 2026 to work alongside the Radiography Department in MRI, CT, and X-ray, and also support reception duties. What will you do:
- Welcoming patients professionally and courteously, managing their arrival and departure
- Escort patients to and from clinical areas, explaining procedures and addressing questions
- Complete pre-scan data protection/consent forms and health and safety questionnaires
- Monitor and assess patient condition post-procedure, reporting changes promptly
- Accurately enter patient data into the management system
- Handle administrative tasks within the department
- Support reception duties, welcoming patients into the centre
