Beaconsfield | Hybrid Working | Full-Time
About the role
Influence strategy. Challenge thinking. Help shape investment across one of the UK's largest specialist healthcare providers. This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished senior finance professional to take on a broad, influential role at the heart of InHealth. As our Senior Group Finance Business Partner, you'll work closely with senior and executive leaders across the organisation, providing the financial insight, challenge and commercial thinking that helps us make better decisions. Your portfolio will span Shared Services, Corporate Overheads, our Patient Engagement Centre (PEC) and InHealth Ventures, giving you exposure to some of our most important strategic priorities. You'll influence decisions across workforce investment, capital projects, digital transformation, procurement and offshore operations. This is much more than reporting the numbers. We're looking for someone who can interpret what they mean, identify what matters and help senior leaders decide what to do next. You'll combine strong financial stewardship with pragmatic business partnering, bringing constructive challenge while ensuring we maintain robust governance and control as the organisation continues to evolve.
What you will do
- You’ll become a trusted financial partner to senior leaders, helping shape strategy and ensuring investment and resources are directed where they can have the greatest impact.
- Lead finance business partnering across a diverse portfolio of Group functions, providing insight across both P&L and balance sheet.
- Translate complex financial performance into clear, compelling and decision-ready insight for senior stakeholders.
- Lead and support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
- Challenge assumptions, identify emerging risks and opportunities and help leaders develop appropriate actions and mitigations.
- Provide financial oversight for significant capital investment, procurement and digital transformation programmes.
- Review and challenge business cases, investment appraisals and financial models to ensure strong governance and value for money.
- Partner with People Services on workforce planning, headcount modelling, affordability and people-related cost drivers.
- Support Whole Force Planning through scenario analysis and sensitivity modelling.
- Provide financial oversight and insight across Shared Services, including offshore operations.
- Work collaboratively across FP&A, Group Reporting, Tax, Finance Systems and Commercial Finance.
- Lead, coach and develop finance colleagues, building capability and strengthening the impact of Finance across the organisation.
About you
You'll already be operating as an experienced Finance Business Partner, Senior Finance Business Partner or in a comparable senior commercial finance role within a complex organisation. More importantly, you'll know how to influence rather than simply inform. You'll be comfortable sitting alongside senior leaders, asking the right questions, challenging constructively and turning complex financial and operational information into a clear story that supports confident decision-making.
We're looking for someone with experience of:
- Senior finance business partnering within a complex, multi-stakeholder organisation.
- Budgeting, forecasting and performance management across P&L and balance sheet.
- Supporting Shared Services, Corporate Overheads, People Services or comparable central functions.
- Developing, reviewing and challenging business cases, investment appraisals and financial models.
- Providing financial oversight of capital projects, procurement or digital programmes.
- Identifying financial risks and opportunities and developing appropriate mitigations.
- Building credible relationships and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Leading, coaching or developing finance colleagues.
A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is preferred. You'll also bring sound judgement, intellectual curiosity and the confidence to challenge when needed. You'll be someone who values financial integrity and strong governance, but who is equally motivated by finding solutions and enabling the business to move forward.
What's in it for you
This is a senior role with genuine breadth, visibility and influence. You'll have the opportunity to work across multiple areas of a large and evolving healthcare organisation, partnering with senior decision-makers and helping shape investment, transformation and financial performance. It's an opportunity to make your expertise count, develop others and help strengthen the role Finance plays in delivering our ambitions for the future. The role is based in Beaconsfield with hybrid working, with some travel to InHealth sites for key meetings and projects.
