Middlewich / Remote | Software Development & Testing

Help us build better software. Champion quality from the very start. Are you an experienced Quality Assurance professional who believes great software quality starts long before testing begins? At InHealth, we're looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to play a key role in the quality, reliability and usability of the digital solutions that support our services. This is more than a hands-on testing role. You'll take ownership of testing across projects and software releases, influence how we approach quality throughout the development lifecycle, and help us continue evolving our testing practices.

Working alongside Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts and Infrastructure Engineers, you'll have the opportunity to challenge, influence and make a genuine impact on the quality of the software we deliver.

What you will do

  • Lead testing activities across software projects and scheduled releases
  • Design, maintain and execute comprehensive test plans, scenarios and test cases
  • Carry out functional, regression, integration, exploratory and user acceptance testing
  • Ensure testing coverage reflects business requirements, technical design and risk
  • Identify, investigate and manage defects, working closely with development teams to drive resolution
  • Assess quality and release risk and contribute to go/no-go decisions
  • Provide clear testing, quality and risk updates to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Support the adoption of test automation and wider quality engineering practices
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve our testing processes, standards and methodologies
  • Mentor and support less experienced members of the testing team
  • Support software releases, production deployments and post-release verification

About you

You'll be an experienced software testing professional who combines strong technical QA knowledge with excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills. You'll bring:

  • Experience in software testing and quality assurance
  • Strong experience testing web-based applications
  • Experience creating and maintaining test plans, test cases and test reports
  • Strong defect management and root cause analysis skills
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments
  • Experience using defect and test management tools
  • A good understanding of software development lifecycles and release management
  • Confidence communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced testing colleagues
  • A naturally inquisitive mindset with excellent attention to detail

Experience within healthcare, NHS or another regulated environment would be particularly valuable. Knowledge of SQL and data validation, API testing, test automation, Azure DevOps or Jira, performance, accessibility or security testing would also be advantageous.

Why this role?

This is an opportunity to join a team where you'll have the scope to do more than find defects. You'll help shape how we approach quality, influence software releases, develop other testers and contribute to the continued evolution of our testing and quality engineering capability. If you're passionate about building reliable, user-focused software and want a role where your experience and ideas can make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.
