As a Global Category & EMEA Regional Marketing Director, you will be responsible for leading the regional EMEA category marketing team and coordinating the global savory category. As the regional marketing lead, you will accelerate growth in the most differentiated and high‑growth solutions, scale innovation programs, and double our revenue in the next five years. You will coordinate the marketing insights, communications and digital marketing centres of excellence (COEs) to deliver the regional marketing plans, effectively sell the portfolio of category solutions and close more pipeline opportunities. In the global category part of this role, you will partner with the savory category leads in the regions to develop the global category marketing strategy and drive its execution to deliver our growth ambition. In this role, you will report directly to the VP Global Marketing, with a dotted line to the regional EMEA business president and sit on both the global marketing as well as the regional EMEA leadership team. Reporting to you will be the regional category marketers, with dotted line responsibility for the regional COE teams.

What You Will Do

  • Regional Marketing Leadership

Directly influence Ingredion market impact by building strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders in close collaboration with Sales and Innovation leadership. Translate global strategies into actionable regional marketing and go‑to‑market plans tailored to accelerate the growth of the most differentiated and high‑growth solutions, collaborating closely with sales, technical service, and product management teams to ensure cohesive execution. Develop a thorough understanding of market share and competitive developments. Communicate at every Quarterly Business Review on market and business insights, pipeline development, innovation progress, and market share development. Ensure flawless execution of both global and regional product launches, coordinating cross‑functional teams to scale Innovation Promise. Align insights, marketing communications, and digital centre of excellence (COE) plans with business priorities to strengthen Ingredion’s external positioning. Lead and develop a team of regional category marketers, as well as coordination of regional COE teams.

  • Global Category Leadership

Develop long‑term global category strategy and technical roadmap (5+ years) and lead short‑term (0–18 month) implementation plans with regional teams, ensuring progress tracking and resource alignment. Gather unmet needs, develop NPD briefs, and lead business case development for new projects. Define and manage the global product portfolio; launch new products and support commercialization.

What You Will Bring

  • Degree qualified, preferably MBA or master’s degree in engineering, food science or marketing.
  • Deep and demonstrated previous experience in category marketing, with strong knowledge of the category.
  • Experience within the ingredients industry in commercial (Sales, Marketing or Technical) roles.
  • Strong commercial acumen and an in‑depth understanding of Marketing’s role in driving commercial strategy and sustainable growth.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, German or other European languages an advantage.
