As a Junior Production Engineer, you will be responsible for sustaining safe shift operations (zero LT), productive utilisation of resources (People and Machinery), while adhering to and monitoring the production plan. This role reports to the Principal Engineer and oversees a team of Operators / Helpers / Packers.
What you will do:
- Process β Post shift production & dispatches in SAP system and fulfil manpower requirements for smooth working of the shift. Achieve shift-wise production targets regarding both quality and quantity and ensure that product losses are being controlled. Write shift-wise production report & mark attendance of the workers. Review lab results of the product and instruct the operators accordingly. Follow instructions from the Divisional Head given verbally or in writing. Ensure operators provide accurate information on the log sheets. Write shift performance report in the logbook. Ensure that manufacturing materials and supplies are sufficiently drawn from stores in time.
- Quality β Coordinate with Shift Chemist to identify in-process non-conformances and ensure that different grades of the product are kept separately. Ensure that weighing scales are in perfect working order.
- Maintenance β Check the performance of process equipment and ensure proper maintenance. Ensure housekeeping of the entire section. Liaise with the Shift Engineer of other divisions for shutdown and fully/partially operating the plant during load shedding.
- Process Improvement β Ensure deliverables related to the way to operate, continuous improvement and innovation. Continuously improve ways of working and apply logical and analytical approaches towards problem solving. Study processes and bring improvements through technological advancement.
- Safety β Ensure safety of product, process equipment and workers during shift and ensure use of PPEs at all locations. Ensure all technical works are performed with due work permit. Deliver training on EHS and production processes.
What you will bring:
- B.Sc/B.E Engineering (Chemical) with preferably 01 year experience.
- Good manufacturing literacy.
- Knowledge about instrumentation and DCS/SLC operation.
Who you are:
- Experienced in labour handling.
- Skilled in plant troubleshooting and controlling.
- Knowledge of GMP/HACCP procedures.
- Knowledge of Safety and Environment.
