Labourers for our sites in Hertfordshire. Ingrebourne Valley Limited have a wealth of experience in aggregate extraction, crushing and screening. We are currently looking for Site Labourers to join our teams. Candidates must be happy working within a quarry environment and have a strong work ethic. This role is for a minimum of 39 hours a week but with overtime is more likely to be higher with an immediate start date.

Role Responsibility

As the successful candidate, you will be a part of the Quarry Labouring team which produces aggregate material for the construction industry.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Enthusiastic, committed and a fast learner with previous experience of a quarry or similar environment as an operative or labourer.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to take instruction.
  • Ability to work with individuals across departments and liaise with external customers and contacts.
  • You will need your own transport owing to the rural location of the site.

Main tasks

  • Loading and unloading of material either into store or across the site. This will involve manual handling of heavy and/or awkward objects.
  • Perform housekeeping duties around site, including shovelling.
  • Reports any problems to supervisor.
  • To wear PPE at all times.
  • To act in accordance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and practices.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

Working days Monday - Friday and Saturday morning as required.
