This role follows a non‐negotiable 3‐day hybrid working pattern. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of our Milton Keynes office.

About the job: We’re looking for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team here at Ingram Micro UK. Whether you’re studying towards your CIMA or ACCA, part-qualified, or already qualified, this is a great opportunity to step into a role where you can take on more responsibility and take the next step in your career. This role sits at the centre of our finance operations, with responsibility for key areas across month-end, cost control and margin accounting. You’ll take ownership of your areas end-to-end, ensuring reporting is accurate and giving the business clear visibility of performance. As our business continues to evolve, particularly as we expand our platforms and offerings, we’re looking for someone who’s comfortable working in a changing environment and ready to grow with the business. You’ll focus on areas including operating expenses (Opex), customer rebate programmes (VPAs), and multi-period deal accounting, while working closely with teams across Finance and Sales to provide insight into performance and cost drivers, helping support better business decisions.

What your role as a Management Accountant will involve:

  • Owning monthly management accounts for your areas, including both P&L and balance sheet
  • Managing Opex reporting, including accruals, prepayments and variance analysis
  • Working with budget holders to monitor, control and challenge cost centre spend
  • Taking responsibility for customer rebate (VPA) accounting, including tracking, accruals and forecasting
  • Supporting multi-period deal accounting, ensuring revenue and margin are recognised correctly
  • Preparing month-end journals and completing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Providing clear financial insight and commentary to support business decision-making

To set you up for success, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Part-qualified or qualified in ACCA, CIMA, ACA, actively studying or qualified by experience.
  • Experience working in a management accounting or month-end processes
  • Good understanding of cost control, Opex or similar finance areas
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and spot trends
  • Ability to take ownership of your work and manage your workload effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across Finance, Sales and the wider business
  • A proactive approach, with the confidence to challenge and add value
