This role follows a non‐negotiable 3‐day hybrid working pattern. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of our Milton Keynes office.

We are looking for a driven Internal Account Manager to join our team on a permanent basis, supporting a portfolio of key vendors. While this role includes managing a small number of existing key accounts, the primary focus is on building and growing your own pipeline, identifying new opportunities, and winning new business. You’ll be responsible for driving revenue and profit growth through proactive engagement, outbound activity, and relationship‐building.

This role will suit someone who enjoys picking up the phone, opening doors, and creating opportunities, rather than simply maintaining an existing account base. Our customers and vendors are at the heart of everything we do and delivering a high standard of service while achieving commercial results is key to success in this role.

Core responsibilities:
  • Foster strong business relationships with Ingram Micro core customers and become a trusted advisor to their businesses.
  • Identify opportunities to cross sell and up sell additional relevant mobile products using expert knowledge.
  • Enable partners by demonstrating and coaching around a variety of products.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and business updates to the head of Sales.
  • Update Opportunities accurately to manage, nurture and monitor deal progress.
  • Regular engagement with marketing team to leverage core messaging via preferred social media channels and influence the GTM strategy.
  • Leverage Field Technical resource to influence and progress end user sales opportunities and maximise profitability.
To set you up for success, we are looking for the following skills and experience:
  • Experience in a sales or account‐based role, ideally within technology, IT distribution, or a related sector. Knowledge of the DCPOS channel and vendor landscape is advantageous but not essential.
  • A commercial and proactive mindset, with the confidence to build relationships, create opportunities, and win new business.
  • Comfortable communicating with customers and partners over the phone, via email, and face‐to‐face.
  • Naturally curious and motivated to learn products, vendors, and new technology in a fast‐moving environment.
  • Confident using business systems and tools, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; CRM experience is beneficial.
  • A desire to understand how things work, with the ability to spot opportunities to improve systems, processes, and ways of working.
  • A strong focus on delivering a positive customer experience while achieving commercial outcomes.
