About the Job
In this role, you’ll become an expert in the offerings of some of the world’s leading technology vendors - the companies behind the tools, software, and platforms that power modern businesses. You’ll use that knowledge to support both our customers and internal teams, acting as a trusted advisor and helping clients identify the right technology to support the work they do. It’s a great opportunity for someone with 1–3 years of experience in sales or customer service who’s curious, commercially minded, and excited to develop deep knowledge of the tech industry. You’ll have the chance to grow your skills in solution selling, relationship building, and consultative support—while making a real impact for the businesses we serve.
What your role will involve:
- Develop exceptional business relationships within your customers
- Become a Trusted Advisor for both internal and external customers
- Develop a good understanding of your customer base including their business model, structure, goals and objectives.
- Support customers in managing their order to delivery, updating them on any significant changes to their order
- Provide information on product and service offerings by the vendor
- Offer advice on availability, discontinuation & special offers
- Ensure your customers account is up to date with payments or credit due – working in collaboration with finance to achieve a harmonious service to the customer
- Accurately manage, develop and monitor deal progress
- Engage in sales focus days at Ingram Micro where necessary
To set you up for success, we are looking for the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a Sales, Account Management and/or administrative environment with a proven track record of success
- Ability to communicate effectively, over the phone, via email and face to face
- Have drive and be motivated to understand their subject matter, to continuously learn the new technology releases in an ever-changing environment
- Good PC skills, including Microsoft Office suite, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel. CRM experience preferable
- A desire and ability to understand and improve systems, programmes and processes
