Overview
Credit Controller – Milton Keynes (Hybrid mandatory 3‑day work pattern; candidates must live within commuting distance of the Milton Keynes office).
Responsibilities
- Manage the timely collection of customer debt across a portfolio of key accounts.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and drive payment performance.
- Review held orders and make informed decisions to support order release and minimise risk.
- Investigate and resolve escalated customer queries and complaints.
- Work closely with Sales, Finance, Credit Risk and a third‑party collections provider to manage complex accounts.
- Produce debtor reporting, cash forecasts and other working‑capital reports as required.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and ways of working.
Qualifications
- Experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or a similar finance role.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Good analytical skills and confidence interpreting financial information.
- Confidence using Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Proactive approach, with the ability to manage priorities and take ownership of issues through to resolution.
