Join our team as a Solution Engineer, reporting to the Head of Service Strategy. Your role involves responding to business opportunities by promoting and discussing our complete service portfolio. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in solutions pre-sales and contribute to strategy development and technical relationships.

As a Solution Engineer you will:

  • Handle pre-sales activities by creating solution proposals for incoming opportunities.
  • Communicate with partners/customers to clarify requirements or business needs.
  • Engage with customers to develop viable solutions.
  • Configure Cisco hardware and software using Cisco Commerce Workspace for entry level solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams and distributors to obtain pricing and configurations.
  • Determine pricing for Managed Services and Packaged Professional Services.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Maximise application capabilities and support the use of new technologies.
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues, applying creative thinking.
  • Escalate technical queries to the company's practices and technical contacts.
  • Attend vendor events for technical updates and present offerings to stakeholders.

To set you up for success we are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • IT or Cybersecurity graduate.
  • Proven experience in an IT operational role OR in a networking technical engineer type role.
  • A good understanding of Networking, SD-WAN, Wireless and the Cisco/Meraki portfolio.
  • An awareness of Compute and Public Cloud.
  • Familiar with industry best practice for service delivery (ITIL).
  • Ability to understand a customer’s environment to establish professional service and annuity-centric service requirements.
  • Commercial understanding with a winning mentality.
