About the job

We're looking for a Credit Controller to join our Finance team at Ingram Micro UK. As the business continues to evolve, we need an experienced credit professional who can confidently manage key customer accounts, build strong stakeholder relationships, and drive cash collection performance. You'll take ownership of a portfolio of sales‑driven and account‑managed customers, working closely with Sales, Finance and Credit Risk to resolve issues, minimise risk and support the financial performance of the business.

Core responsibilities

  • Managing the timely collection of customer debt across a portfolio of key accounts
  • Building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and drive payment performance
  • Reviewing held orders and making informed decisions to support order release and minimise risk
  • Investigating and resolving escalated customer queries and complaints
  • Working closely with Sales, Finance, Credit Risk and our third‑party collections provider to manage complex accounts
  • Producing debtor reporting, cash forecasts and other working capital reports as required
  • Supporting continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and ways of working

Skills and experience

  • Experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or a similar finance role
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
  • Good analytical skills and confidence interpreting financial information
  • Confident using Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to manage priorities and take ownership of issues through to resolution
