Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring a Finance Manager to contribute to our team in Milton Keynes, UK. This individual will manage the ICG UK Accounts Payable processing team. They will oversee the reporting and financial compliance requirements of LS UK, ensuring they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with best practice. They will assist the Financial Controller in providing a first‑class finance and administration function in support of the business. Responsibilities
- 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday.
- Produce timely and accurate monthly management information, reports and accounts on behalf of the LS UK business for the US parent Company.
- Support the growth of the LSSJ business, reviewing, implementing and documenting transactional procedures and financial reporting requirements as they become necessary.
- Manage the day‑to‑day activities of the ICG UK Accounts Payable processing team, ensuring proper authorisation, entry and timely payment of supplier invoices and employee expenses.
- Supervise the day‑to‑day activities of the LSUK/IWUK/LSSJ Accounts Receivable team, ensuring all transactions are recorded in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain up‑to‑date financial accounting records for the business.
- Prepare and process General Ledger journals.
- Produce supporting reconciliations for all key balance‑sheet control accounts.
- Respond to, and assist the transactional team with, customer and supplier queries as needed.
- Provide information and support to external and internal auditors.
- Ensure all customer invoices and statements are generated and issued promptly, including automated invoices and complex manual invoices and credit notes.
- Ensure robust documentation of all tasks to allow coverage in the case of team absence.
- Handle the VAT reporting process for the LSUK division, VAT consolidation for the UK business and MTD reporting for the ICG UK registered entity.
- Handle National Statistics reporting for the LSUK division.
- Handle the VAT deferment and C79 processes.
- Maintain open communications with colleagues in the US finance team and other UK departments.
- Assist the Financial Controller as required in the fulfilment of finance and administration requirements of the business, including the annual audit.
- Take responsibility for own health and safety and be aware of factors affecting colleagues to maintain a safe environment.
- Report any accidents or potential hazards to Line Manager immediately.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Working knowledge of UK GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and best practice within the sector.
- Experience supervising staff within an accounts department or other small teams.
- Relevant degree or AAT Technician qualification (preferred).
- Part qualification as an accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) preferred but not essential.
