To assist the Financial Planning Analysis Manager with all aspects of Management Accounting, analysis and reporting. Working closely with all areas of the business, becoming a key 'go to' for financial information.
Essential Job Duties:
- Carrying out month end duties and assisting FP&A Manager in ensuring the management accounts are reported accurately.
- Bookkeeping of company's COGS and stock accounting.
- Bookkeeping for UK Wholesale division.
- Monitors and reports on all production cost components.
- Produces monthly management pack for UK Wholesale division.
- Performs analysis on UK Wholesale financial performance as dictated by business needs.
- Maintains the UK standard production costing model, ensuring data used is accurate and up to date.
- Updates and distributes reports on agreed business KPIs.
- Produce weekly and monthly financial and statistical reports for the Operations Director.
- Produce cost per unit analysis for monthly management pack.
- Ad-hoc duties and project work as directed by the FP&A Manager.
- Where necessary provide cover for absent team member.
- To be responsible for your own Health and Safety and be aware of factors affecting your colleagues in order to maintain a safe environment.
- To report any accidents, potential hazards to your Line Manager immediately.
Qualifications Experience:
- Graduate or up to 1 year previous experience in an accounts department.
Education:
- GCSE level Maths and English Passes or A Level Passes.
- AAT Technician (Level 4) or hold degree in Accountancy / Finance.
Skills:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly logical with strong problem solving ability.
- Able to respond effectively to changing priorities.
- Attention to detail.
It is a pre-requisite of this position that the candidate should be willing to undertake formal training towards a recognised chartered accounting qualification. Attendance at external courses will be required. Continuous progress on external courses will be a key performance measure for this position.
