An International Law Firm is hiring a Legal Cashier to join their busy finance department based in their Leeds City Centre offices.
This opportunity would suit someone with a legal cashier/finance/accounts background who also has strong systems skills and client care skills.
This pivotal role involves supporting the wider finance team with all aspects of legal cashiering and financial administration. The ideal candidate will have prior experience within legal cashiering within an international law firm.
Responsibilities:
- Day to day cashiering and processing transactions
- TT/CHAPs, BACS & payments
- Client and office account
- Allocation of payments
- Processing international payments
- Multi-currency transactions
- Checking payments and monitoring charges
- Responding to enquiries and resolving queries
- Monitoring residual balances
- Monitoring emails and workflow management
- Project work
Requirements:
- Prior Legal Cashier experience, ideally within an international law firm
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to seamlessly work between multiple systems and platforms
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Word, Excel and finance systems
- Up to date knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and VAT rules
The Legal Cashier role is full time. The firm offers a flexible hybrid working environment where you have the opportunity to work from home and in the office. The role will include working in the office 3 days per week and from home 2 days per week.
Salary will be negotiable depending on experience. Market leading benefits package.
