The role... We are currently recruiting a Graduate Structural Engineer to join our team, in our London office. The role will involve assisting with the provision and promotion of a professional structural engineering service to the Practice and its clients. The work will involve a variety of projects from residential, health, commercial and education sectors with a variety of construction types.

Please Note: This role may be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service, Baseline Personnel Security Standard, Counter Terrorist Check, Security Check, or Developed Vetting clearance.

The selected candidate will… Appreciate the area of structural engineering professional expertise outside the Practice which can be utilised within the Practice. Carry out engineering concept design to detailed design, tender and contract, on site supervision to completion, ensuring projects are undertaken in accordance with design briefs and that completion deadlines are achieved. Design practical design solutions, interpret architectural concepts in a practical and economic matter. Undertake structural survey works and produce reports for the same. Liaise with clients and ensure their satisfaction. Ensure contributions to projects are completed within the timescale. Budget and to a high standard, be aware of the financial targets associated with their tasks. Monitoring invoicing and expenditure against the budget. Update database with changes in fees. Progress of jobs and forward projections, interpret and apply legislation and technical standards. Promote BIM and 3D design/drawings to ensure compliance with Practice’s BIM strategy.

Essential skills, experience, and attributes… Degree/master’s in Engineering. Full driving licence and access to a vehicle. Excellent communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.
