The role... We are currently recruiting an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our M&E Team in Billericay. This role involves delivering high-quality electrical engineering design and consultancy services across a variety of building projects. You’ll play a key role in supporting the design, delivery, and management of mechanical systems, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards, on time and within budget. The team focuses on projects in the Healthcare and Education sector.

The selected candidate will…
- Deliver high-quality mechanical engineering design across a range of projects
- Support project delivery from concept through to completion
- Prepare detailed designs, specifications, and technical reports
- Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and project briefs
- Review tenders and provide technical recommendations
- Carry out site inspections and produce condition reports
- Monitor project progress and support successful delivery on site
- Use industry-leading software such as IES, AutoCAD, and Revit
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Ensure compliance with QA standards, policies, and guidelines
Essential skills, experience, and attributes… Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering. Experience in Mechanical design for building services through multiple projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software (Amtech). Full driving licence and access to a vehicle. Proven track record of meeting deadlines. Use of IES (Mechanical) design software. Familiar with relevant legislation, codes of practice, CIBSE guides, building regulations and best practice.
