The DND Learning Trust and Academy Council of Ingleton CE Primary School are seeking a reliable, proactive and enthusiastic Caretaker to join our friendly and dedicated team. This opportunity has arisen following the retirement of our long-serving caretaker. We are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining buildings and grounds to a high standard and who enjoys playing an important role in supporting a thriving school community.

As Caretaker, you will help ensure that our school remains a safe, welcoming and well‑maintained environment for pupils, staff and visitors. No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys practical work, problem‑solving and taking ownership of their responsibilities.

About You

  • We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with experience in:
    • School caretaking or site supervision
    • Facilities management
    • Building maintenance and repairs
    • Property, housing or estate maintenance
    • Grounds maintenance
    • Trades or practical maintenance roles
    • Health and safety responsibilities
  • We also welcome applications from individuals who may not have direct caretaking experience but can demonstrate transferable skills, a strong work ethic and the ability to manage a range of practical tasks independently.
