We are looking for a motivated Junior Design Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical skills and progress within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
You will be involved in a variety of structural engineering projects, supporting the design process from concept through to fabrication, with a balance of office-based work and site involvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out site visits and site viewings to support project delivery
- Undertake point cloud data capture and management using modern surveying technologies
- Assist in the preparation of design briefs and project documentation
- Produce accurate fabrication drawings and models
- Undertake end connection detailing for structural steelwork
- Support engineers with structural calculations and temporary works reports
- Work collaboratively with the design team to deliver high-quality, practical solutions
- Creating NC data from Tekla for plasma cutting
About You
- Degree (or working towards) in Engineering
- Experience in a design or detailing role within engineering
- Familiarity with Tekla, AutoCAD, or similar design software
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Full UK driving licence (required for site visits)
- Interest in developing towards a Design Engineer position
