We are looking for a motivated Junior Design Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical skills and progress within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

You will be involved in a variety of structural engineering projects, supporting the design process from concept through to fabrication, with a balance of office-based work and site involvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out site visits and site viewings to support project delivery
  • Undertake point cloud data capture and management using modern surveying technologies
  • Assist in the preparation of design briefs and project documentation
  • Produce accurate fabrication drawings and models
  • Undertake end connection detailing for structural steelwork
  • Support engineers with structural calculations and temporary works reports
  • Work collaboratively with the design team to deliver high-quality, practical solutions
  • Creating NC data from Tekla for plasma cutting

About You

  • Degree (or working towards) in Engineering
  • Experience in a design or detailing role within engineering
  • Familiarity with Tekla, AutoCAD, or similar design software
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Full UK driving licence (required for site visits)
  • Interest in developing towards a Design Engineer position
