Role Description The Structural Steel Detailer will produce accurate 2D and 3D steel fabrication drawings and models to support structural projects and lifting solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting engineering and architectural drawings, developing detailed shop drawings for steel structures and connections, and coordinating with engineers, project managers, and fabricators to resolve design queries. The role involves checking dimensions and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes, and preparing clear documentation for fabrication and site installation. The detailer will also support constructability reviews, contribute to digital modelling workflows, and assist in revising drawings based on design changes or site feedback. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Port Talbot. Knowledge of Tekla is beneficial. Experience using CAD and 3D modelling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or similar) for steel detailing. Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to work to tight deadlines and project milestones.
