At IKEA Edinburgh we have bold plans to transform the customer journey in the Scotland North and East Market area, by getting closer to where our customers live & work. We aim to develop our customer offer to secure support and enable consumers to feel and experience a more "accessible IKEA" wherever they live.
We are looking for an innovative sales person that can cultivate new relationships while maintaining existing ones to develop and grow our Business to Business sales.
What we offer:
- The starting salary for this role is £37,500 per annum, based on competence and experience.
- 39 hours working 5 days per week including evenings and weekends when required.
- Your base location will be the IKEA Edinburgh store; however, there will be a need to travel all across Scotland.

What you’ll need to have:
- You are an experienced Business to Business sales person with a proven track record of converting leads into sales.
- You are a strong leader with experience in influencing peers and stakeholders through inspirational communication.
- You have experience in analysing performance against targets such as sales and market share, to identify commercial opportunities and create action plans.
- You are knowledgeable about the local Business to Business market, with an understanding of customer expectations.
- You have experience in providing customer support through in-person and digital interactions, seeing each interaction as an opportunity to convert contact to sales.
- You have an interest in understanding the behaviours and needs of companies, their employees and clients, finding the right solution for each.
What you’ll be doing day to day:
- You will develop relationships within the Business sector aiming to secure requests for proposals for new builds, hotel refurbishments, apartments, office buildings, government offices and other such opportunities.
- You will collaborate with store coworkers across relevant functions such as Selling and Customer Fulfilment, to create high quality and timely responses to all requests for proposals.
- You will oversee the delivery of any won deals, coordinating and collaborating with coworkers in relevant functions to manage the process and avert issues.
- You will handle the after sales service for all key account deals, following up to ensure satisfaction and address any issues, securing long term business relationships.
